PGA of Canada Head Teaching Professional. Former tour professional. One of Canada's most sought-after golf instructors.
World-class coach

An award-winning instructor, on the same journey as you.

John is a PGA of Canada golf coach in Calgary, AB. An award-winning instructor, he provides golf coaching and golf lessons at Country Hills Golf Club, to members and non-members alike.

John has been very lucky with his life in golf. A long-time Vancouver Island resident, he played junior golf in Victoria before attending the University of Washington, where he played on the golf team for four years and earned a Bachelor of Psychology degree.

After graduation, John turned pro and played on tour for eight years: seven seasons on the Canadian Tour, two on the South African PGA Tour, and mini-tour events across the U.S., including two starts on the PGA Tour itself.

Are you a golfer who is frustrated with your game, doesn't feel you're improving as fast as you should, or is confused about what you should be working on? Unfortunately, this is very normal among golfers. But it doesn't have to be.

John's students are just like you. Some want to remove frustration or become more consistent. Others are chasing tournament results or a golf scholarship. Many more just want to feel comfortable playing with their boss, clients, or friends. Whatever better golf means to you, coaching with John will get you there.

At the end of his playing career, John turned his focus to teaching, and through hard work and good fortune, has become one of Canada's most sought-after golf instructors.

How John coaches

Every golfer is different. We have different reasons for wanting to play better golf, varying athletic backgrounds, and different amounts of time to devote to the game.

That belief is the foundation of everything John does: a psychology degree and 20+ years of coaching golfers of every level, from a first lesson to a national championship, built into a repeatable system rather than a one-size-fits-all lesson.

The full four-step method (Assess, Prioritise, Build, Verify) is what turns that belief into a plan for your specific game.
